Booty Bean Bags Are Tops with the Bottoms Of Style-Savvy Guys and Bootylicious Babes Looking for Great Chairs
Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) April 8, 2010
âBooty Bean Bags are the chair of choice for a new generation of style-conscious people who reject the idea of straight-laced, straight-back seating options,â says Nathan Welch. Welch is the owner of The Man Chair Company, the North Carolina-based furniture producer and manufacturer of Booty Bean Bags, now being offered at a new, just-for-booties web site. The bean bags come in a variety of geometric and free-form shapes, including squares, circles, and the traditional slouchy bean bag.
âOur bean bags are designed for style and comfort,â Welch remarks. âTheyâre the perfect choice for any body and any booty.â
Welch notes that the body-friendly, eye-appealing chairs are perfect for sitting, sleeping, lounging, and a variety of other 21st Century activities. âOur goal is for Booty Bean Bags to become the gotta-have-it furniture for fashionable homes and apartments, as well as style-driven business offices where work and fun are not mutually exclusive.â
The Better Booty
Most agree that the bean bag chair was born in 1969, when the âSaccoâ was launched by the Zanotta Company in Italy. The pear-shaped âSacsâ were made of leather and filled with Styrofoam pellets. âAccording to rumor, the idea for the Sac was more accident than inspiration,â reveals Welch. âItâs believed that the designers had their âlight-bulbâ moment after a factory worker sat on a bag of discarded polystyrene pellets that had been used as packaging.â
In the 70âs, the bean bag chair was an icon of fashionable home seating when people wanted to get down and get funky in furniture that was hip, young, and fun. But the bean bag chair fell out of favor when it was mass-produced with inferior vinyl that stuck to your skin and low-density bean filling that collapsed after about a month of use. âIn the 80âs and 90âs, the only butt that got near a bean bag was the butt of a joke,â laughs Welch.
Today things have changed. âBooty Bean Bags have all the best features of a traditional bean bag chair, but weâve updated them for style and comfort,â says Welch. He notes that Booty Bean Bag chairs are made in the U.S.A., filled with comfortable, long-lasting shredded memory foam, and covered in luxuriously soft microfiber or microsuede in a kaleidoscope of colors.
Ménage-a-Chair
Traditionally bean bag chairs were intended as seating for one. Booty Bean Bags expand on that concept with a variety of seating options that accommodate multiple booties. The over-sized versions of the Insider (Membership for up to Three), Chofa for Three and Sac Back (Threeâs a Crowd), which can all accommodate up to three people.
âWith our larger chairs, everyone can enjoy the best seat in the house,â says Welch.
Baby Loves Booty and Vice Versa
Booty Bean Bags are extremely popular with men, but women are fans, too. âWomen love the way they can snuggle into one of our chairs,â says Welch. âItâs like a furniture hug.â Since âseeing is believing,â the site showcases a Booty Babe of the Month, where a fashionable woman lounges comfortably in a bean bag chair and âbares allâ in a quirky, revealing ten-question interview.
âOur Booty Babe of the Month is a perfect symbol of our product line,â says Welch. âLike our chairs, sheâs smart, fashionable, and very nice to look at.â
Papaâs Got a Brand New Bag
The chairs in the Booty Bean Bags online catalogue come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors that compliment a wide range of eclectic styles. The company also offers accessories such as ottomans and âprops.â Props are head and full-body pillows that can be propped or placed âbehind your head, under your arm, between your knees, or any way you wish to enhance your comfort,â reports Welch.
âBooty Bean Bags arenât the cheap vinyl bean bag of the last century,â says Welch emphatically. âIn 2010, papa…and mama, too…have got a brand new bag.â
For additional information on Booty Bean Bags, to âmeetâ the Booty Babe of the Month, to subscribe to the companyâs newsletter, or to place an order, please visit http://www.bootybeanbags.com

Jokes Newsletter Circulation Surpasses 100,000
(PRWEB) June 22, 2005
ArcaMax Publishing Inc. (http://www.arcamax.com), a leading provider of family-friendly news, is proud to announce that its Jokes publication has reached 100,000 subscribers — an increase of 70,000 in one year.
The online newsletter is sent out daily and is “PG-rated,” according to ArcaMax Publishing editors. It generally includes four jokes ranging from political to household humor and funny quotes from comedians.
“One day you may find a quote from Jay Leno or one day you’ll get a list of the dreaded Murphy’s Laws,” said Hugh Spain, ArcaMax Publishing Managing Editor. “We’ll put in there just about anything we think people will get a chuckle out of as long as the jokes are family friendly and non-offensive.”
The Jokes ezine had approximately 30,000 subscribers in June of 2004, which reflects an increase of 70,000 subscribers over a year.
Spain said many subscribers will send jokes to him to be included in the ezine. “The great thing about an ezine like this is that people can participate easily as long as the jokes they send are clean, which means we publish about half of the ones we receive,” Spain said with a laugh of his own.
The company’s success with sending jokes indicates that SPAM awareness on the Internet has not hurt all types of e-mail. While users today take more caution in opening commercial e-mail, “apparently the novelty of circulating jokes to others has not worn off,” Spain added.
If interested receiving the Jokes newsletter every weekday, visit http://www.arcamax.com/cgi-bin/reg?trackid=100&npg=3&source=1004 . Every ezine subscription is confirmed with an e-mail (double opt-in) and the company is fully compliant with Federal CAN-SPAM law.
All jokes that are run in the newsletter are also posted on the ArcaMax Publishing Jokes page at http://www.arcamax.com/cgi-bin/news/channel/1009.

Stuff to Die For by Don Bruns Named Finalist in the Lefty Awards
May 20th, 2011 by mariodm

Stuff to Die For by Don Bruns Named Finalist in the Lefty Awards
Ipswich, Mass. (PRWEB) January 14, 2008
Oceanview Publishing is pleased to announce that Stuff to Die For by Don Bruns is one of five finalists for the Lefty Award. An annual awards program sponsored by Left Coast Crime, the Lefty Award is given to the most humorous mystery published each year. This year’s Left Coast Crime Awards winners will be announced at this year’s annual Left Coast Crime convention, Murder on the Rocks, which will be held March 6-9, 2008, in Denver, Colorado.
In Stuff to Die For (Oceanview Publishing, ISBN: 978-1-933515-10-6, $ 24.95) Bruns, who brought us entertainment journalist Mick Sever, introduces the most hilarious duo in years – James Lessor and Skip Moore.
Best friends James and Skip are hardly on the fast track. James reports to duty as a line cook at Cap’n Crab, and Skip spends his days selling – or rather, attempting to sell – security systems to people who (a) have no money, and (b) have nothing they care to protect. Although James and Skip aren’t exactly upwardly mobile, they’re about to get literally mobile when James spends a surprise inheritance on a white box truck. An investment in the future, James surmises, as these two are starting a business. Moore and Lessor, or Lessor and Moore. Have truck, will haul.
Things are looking up when James and Skip land their first client and collect a handsome paycheck. But, this job can get pretty ugly, pretty quickly. While unloading the contents of their first moving job, James and Skip find some unexpected cargo – a bloody human finger. For these two, the phrase “dead-end job” is about to take on a whole new meaning. Instead of chasing the American dream, Skip and James will wind up running for their lives. As they scramble to stay one step ahead of the perpetrators of the gruesome crime, they’ll learn that there is some stuff you should never touch – and some stuff to die for.
In a starred review, Booklist praises Bruns’ protagonists, and notes that Stuff to Die For “will remind the reader of Tim Dorsey’s cast of whacked-out characters but with the narrative voice and feel of Mark Twain’s Huck Finn.” Library Journal calls Stuff to Die For a “quirkily engaging mystery⦠a buddy novel as funny as the movie Dumb and Dumber,” and Deadly Pleasures, America’s premier fan-oriented mystery review, says “Bruns is simply masterful.”
A witty, gritty mystery about big dreams, big ideas – and big trouble, Stuff to Die For showcases a sensational new side to award-winning novelist Don Bruns.
Don Bruns is an award-winning novelist, songwriter, musician and advertising executive. He is author of Jamaica Blue, Barbados Heat and South Beach Shakedown, a music murder mystery series featuring entertainment journalist Mick Sever. Bruns’ South Beach Shakedown was recently awarded top honors in the mystery/suspense/thriller category of the Best Books 2006 sponsored by USA Book News, and named a finalist in the mystery/suspense category of the ForeWord Magazine Book of the Year Awards. Don Bruns divides his time between Ohio and South Florida. Oceanview Publishing (http://www.oceanviewpub.com) is an independent press headquartered in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Paladin Pet Products Pampers Pets Online
May 19th, 2011 by mariodm

Paladin Pet Products Pampers Pets Online
City, State (PRWEB) April 4, 2008
Niaomi Hamilton recently opened http://www.PaladinPetProducts.com because of her love of animals and her desire to do something on the Internet. “They always tell you to do something that you know, that you’re familiar and comfortable with, and the Internet offered a means of doing a business where I’m comfortable,” explains Niaomi. “The fact that it’s a pet web site⦠well, animals I know. Pets I know. I’m very comfortable with my pets; it’s something I love and cherish, so it’s easy. It’s not work.”
A true lifelong passion, Niaomi’s love of her pets and of animals in general is a factor in every facet of her business. “It’s like they say — do something you’re passionate about. I’m very passionate about animals, and about the relationship between animals and people,” she says, detailing just part of her deeply-held philosophy about people and animals. “I want to make sure that it’s a healthy relationship for both parties, and offering products that encourage that relationship feels good to me.”
Niaomi takes great care in the selection of products for her store, going over them carefully before deciding whether or not to include them. “I’m choosing each and every one of these items,” says Niaomi. “I choose them in terms of safety for both the animal and the people. There are certain pet products out there that I disagree with, like dog muzzles that, to me, break the animal’s spirit. I’m always going to choose products that encourage a happy, friendly relationship between the person and the animal. Their relationship should be a joyful and fun one for both.”
Regular updates of both the amusing and the innovative are Niaomi’s stock in trade, keeping her products fresh and catering to all varieties of pet lovers. With a wide selection of pet clothes and fun toys as well as a number of practical items, like safety gates and pet beds, all avenues are covered. “I just found a dog bed for older dogs where you can fill it with hot water to keep them warm in winter, and also with cold water during summer months. That’s practical,” says Niaomi, who also jokes, “Sometimes people think, ‘Oh boy, why would you want to dress your animal?’ Well, if the pets are okay with it and the people are having fun with it, I say go for it. I want to help people understand that animals try so hard to understand us. They’re not just things — they are beings that have huge emotional feelings.”
Niaomi shares both her opinions about pets and advice about her products on http://www.PaladinPetProducts.net, her new blog. “My blog will be to encourage people to express their own relationships with their animals; to inform other people of discoveries they’ve made about relationships with their animals,” she says enthusiastically. “Maybe to relay some fun anecdotes, and again to express examples of how much animals try to talk to us, because they do. They try so hard to interact. I have dogs, and they try so hard to talk to me in a way that they feel I will understand. I think it takes an awful lot of intelligence to try and put things in a way that I will ‘get’. They work hard at that, and I want to give them credit for this, and I think that’s probably one of the strongest things that will come out of my blog. A lot of this is coming from years of study and reading, and a lot of observation — I’m not just pulling this stuff out of my hat. There’s been a lot of research behind it.” The blog will also feature discussion about the various charities Paladin Pet Products will contribute to, helping animals in distress and protecting wilderness areas.

The First Six Weeks of College are Critical for the Success of College Students
May 18th, 2011 by mariodm

The First Six Weeks of College are Critical for the Success of College Students
Orlando, FL (PRWEB) September 2, 2004
With plenty of free time and few rules (compared to home) many students start drinking to excess during the first six weeks of college. According to the National Advisory Council on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism every year 500,000 college age students are injured while under the influence, 70,000 are victims of sexual assault or date rape where alcohol is a factor and 25% have problems at college such as missing class, missing assignments and doing badly on exams because of alcohol abuse. Communication with a student before and after he or she begins college has a huge impact on whether or not alcohol abuse will be a factor in their college life. With about a third of first year students dropping out their fist year, the experts at http://www.collegesafe.com offer a series of free guides to help parents and students with the transition.
WHAT CAN PARENTS AND STUDENTS DO ABOUT THIS?
How can parents keep the lines of communication open so that college students still feel connected to family at home? It can be tricky for parents to talk to students without them feeling smothered, judged or not trusted. The college safety experts at http://www.CollegeSafe.com put together a free guide on fun communication tips for parents. Communication builds strong emotional health and self-confidence.
This creates a pattern of success and gives college students the strength to avoid drugs, alcohol abuse and promiscuity. Here are some fun tips from the free guide:
ÂÂ Send them a subscription to your hometown newspaper (or forward the local community publication)
ÂÂ Exchange a joke of the day by email
ÂÂ Put together a funky family photo stuff with funny pictures – put on calendars, mugs, magnets
ÂÂ Tape record a dinner conversation where you include them in the conversation
ÂÂ Send gift certificates to restaurants in the area (sometimes these can be ordered online)
ÂÂ Have younger siblings or cousins send fridge drawings
ÂÂ Set up a family website with pictures and updates
ÂÂ Send postcards from home with funny stories or jokes on them
ÂÂ Parents can exchange their own school war stories weekly with their student via mail or email
ÂÂ Send them printed or emailed links to funny off-beat stories they can share with friends
ÂÂ Put together gift baskets, for example, popcorn of the month, cookie basket of the month or other special treats
ÂÂ Send them an inexpensive digital camera and encourage them to send pictures of friends with descriptions and stories
This is just a partial list; the free guide at http://www.CollegeSafe.com has much more. Other resources at http://www.CollegeSafe.com include college safety related information, products, tips, guides and the new eBook, The College Safety Guide. The people at http://www.CollegeSafe.com are dedicated to providing the latest information, products and news to help students have a safe and secure time on and off campus. Www.CollegeSafe.com is a division of http://www.MainStreetSafety.com , where your safety is their main concern.

Super Green Vegetarian Cosmetics Company Lush to Donate All Takings to Charity
May 17th, 2011 by mariodm

Super Green Vegetarian Cosmetics Company Lush to Donate All Takings to Charity
London, United Kingdom (PRWEB) April 1, 2007
It sounds like a cruel April Fool, falsely raising the hopes of NGOs fighting to save the environment and help with human and animal rights.
Giving away takings is, however, not an April Fool’s joke, but the latest mad plan from looney, green eco-pioneers and purveyors of naked, fresh bathroom products Lush Cosmetics, who now have stores in 46 countries.
Their latest madcap scheme, launched in April, is the world’s first ever ethical loss leader, where ALL the takings, not just the profit, from their new “Charity Pot” Lush-ious hand and body lotion product (retailing in their UK stores from April at £9.95) will go to good causes, such as projects protecting the environment and improving the lives of people and animals.
Lush founder Mark Constantine, who started off by making products for the Body Shop which is now owned by L’Oreal, says, “The hand and body lotion is one of the best and most popular products that we have ever made, so it is perfect for helping to multiply the money available in the kitty to give to green and humane causes. “
Basically Lush customers donate all the money to the Charity Pot fund, (less the 17.5 percent VAT taken by UK chancellor Gordon Brown) and then get a free pot of the most luscious hand and body lotion they’ve ever had the joy of using.
Lush customers can’t lose — only Lush looses.

New Chicago-Produced Comedic Web Series ‘Guys Book Club’ Launches Today
May 15th, 2011 by mariodm

New Chicago-Produced Comedic Web Series âGuys Book Clubâ Launches Today
Chicago (PRWEB) March 15, 2011
The new comedic web series, âGuys Book Club,â launches today taking a comedic look into the lives of six disenchanted married men attempting to recapture their manhood by using a fictional âbook clubâ as an excuse to get away from their wives. Adolescent insanity and hilarity ensues in this funny, fast-paced, and free online web series at http://www.guysbookclub.tv.
Launching today are the trailer and first three episodes of this unflinching 9-episode âSkit-Com.â A new episode will release each Tuesday for the next six weeks through April 19. The total running time of all nine episodes together is 24 minutes, about the same length as a network sitcom.
âItâs sort of âCurb Your Enthusiasmâ meets âPulp Fiction,â” says writer and director George Zwierz. âItâs definitely a dark comedy. One minute these guys are discussing politics over some Big League Chew and the next theyâre plotting the demise of one of their wives using Monopoly pieces. This isnât Oprahâs book club.â
Legendary news anchor and documentarian Bill Kurtis has high praise for the new web series. âIf comedy was news, âGuys Book Clubâ would be the top story,â says Kurtis.
Produced and set in Chicago, âGuys Book Clubâ was filmed with an all Chicago cast and crew by Purple Stuff Productions, Inc. The cast features Dean Hill and Chris Meister both of whom can be seen on the FOX TV series, âThe Chicago Code.â
âAll the guys in the book club bring a likable irreverence. Theyâre the type we all know, and I think that will appeal to both male and female audiences,â adds Zwierz. âItâs just that some of their warped views and precarious judgments lead them into a myriad of uncomfortable situations. But thatâs the fun of it.â
Zwierz says he couldnât be more thrilled with his ensemble cast. âThese guys are some of the funniest actors and performers in Chicago. They truly brought the characters to life,â Zwierz said. âPlus, I see Chicago itself as one of the characters. I want the audience to get a true sense of Chicago from an insiderâs perspective. I think what people will see is an authentic view of Chicago. Both the city and the hard working people.â
The âGuys Book Clubâ crew is hoping to secure sponsorships or investors to fund a Season 2. Zwierz hopes to build on some of the initial enthusiasm and support heâs received. âSo far the reception has been nothing short of amazing, people are really getting behind it. My hope is that weâll see the series take off and maybe even get some athletes or celebrities involved in future episodes. Iâm looking at you Jay Cutlerâ¦itâs already written.â
